Name: Ken Walls As far as fan stats, I guess I'm more of a "long distance fan" than anything. I can't make it to alot of their shows, but that doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan. I honestly enjoy their tunes. Greffey had given me some tapes of their older tunes some time ago and more recently I'd gotten some from Mike. Good stuff. I'm sure I don't own all their tracks, but I GOTTA HAVE 'EM. I'd met (former member) Rob Gardner in about 1978. We were close friends from then on until about 1990 where we kinda lost contact of each other since I'd moved to Bloomington. If anybody out there knows where he is, PLEASE let me know. Kinda the same situation with (former member) Rob Greffey, 'cept we met around 1985. We'd kept in touch off and on through the 1990's. I met Mike in about 1984 (I think) through an old friend/neighbor Chris Bundy. He booked off to Chicago after he graduated High School in 1989. Greffey and Gardner had a place in Indy in 1990. I went up for a visit and found out that Mike was back in town. They told me they were starting a band calling it "Number Six" which sounded cool. I think I even helped shovel some of their basement/studio a little. I never met Jarrod even though we went to the same school (back when). Plus, I've yet to meet Ryan, Dave or Chessa. But, I've heard their sounds and hope they stick with. They all have a really good sound. Some day, I plan a rockumentary style film on the band. I'm no big player in the independent film industry, but have made a few unpublished films and etc and plan for many more (as a fun hobby). The "Six Flick" is on hold due to my own personal conflicts of perfection due to lack of a few equipment elements and time. But everyone has projects in the works, huh? I've been into computer imagery for quite awhile. Also, a fun hobby. The frustration of not getting to their shows lead me to design/create some 'cover art' for a few tunes. Check 'em out if you want at: http://www.geocities.com/NumberSixFans/ No, I'm in no way capitalizing on the band. I'm not making any money from the images, nor do I ever plan to. I'm just a showing appreciation for the talents of the band. I'm a fan. Besides, Mike said it was cool and he'd asked that I make more. (Like I wasn't going to anyway!) I made/make the images FOR the band, so they ARE the band's. I suggest that any other fan out there honor the band's requests in the disclaimer on this site. They're not stifling anyone else's talents, but please get consent if you wanna create your own "mind's eye imagery" or anything from any of their stuff. Show off your stuff to 'em! Give 'em a write! Let 'em know they're damn good, because they are! |
