December 2000December 24, 2000 Winter snow and ice kept us from being fully prepared for this show, but it was something we were excited about. Ever since the band was formed, I had always wanted to play for the goth crowd. Our music may or may not appeal to the folks in black, but durn it - it was like playing to the home crowd for me. We arrived on time more or less, and waited with others involved in the show for the bar to open. Mister E, DJ extrodinaire, was the contact man for this gig. He greeted me with a relaxed demeanor, saying that this was a night just for things to happen however they do. We didn't wait too long, as the bartnender arrived, and let us warm ourselves inside before loading equipment in. All was well, and we even received a visit from founding bass player and Number Six song writer, Rob Greffey. Rob was in town for the holidays from Los Angeles. He seems to have readjusted to Indiana weather nicely. The crowd at the bar swelled and we meandered up onto the stage. Chessa was a bit nervous that we didn't quite fit the goth/industrial tag. I knew however, that the BOG crowd is always a polite one. And they were! Generous applause greeted us as we thundered through a somewhat flawless set. Pretty cool - lots of interest afterward, so indeed it was a good night. We'll hopefully be doing more shows in the future with BOG and the goth crowd.
